When it comes to breaking into the modeling industry, the odds are forever not in your favor. With the amount of women attempting to make it big, it can become a grizzly competition between females. The competition becomes even fiercer when one of your siblings has managed to make a name for themselves. When it comes to the Hadid sisters, that exact situation is what caused younger sister, Bella Hadid, to dye her hair. Older sister, Gigi Hadid, has been making huge strides in the modeling world. Gigi has become the face of Maybelline, starred in two music videos, and modeled for a variety of different campaigns.
With Bella wanting to create her own name in the industry, it became obvious that she would have to distinguish herself from her blonde and bubbly sister. In order to create her own persona, Bella chose to take a drastic change and quickly dyed her naturally blonde hair to a dark chocolate brown color instead.
Speaking out in the March issue of Allure, Bella went on to explain that, “I just have a darker personality. And my sister being blonde and me being brunette, it’s a good separation. I put a blonde wig on and think it would be fun to go back, but I’m happy with my hair.”
Bella, whose career is also beginning to flourish enormously, happens to be on the cover of March’s Allure magazine. You can check out further details about Bella’s rise to fame over at Allure magazine.
